Book Discussion: It’s a Long Story by Willie Nelson (Tristana’s Pick) Julie- Hesitant in beginning. No desire to read it. Found some enjoyment, but not much. Could have been written as cliff notes. Would not recommend. 2.5/5 Tristana- Liked overall. Too many names, but looked up many of them to learn. Could have been shorter. Never got that needy feeling to read. Just thought it would be a fun book. Would recommend to a musician. 2.5/5
Jocelyn- Favorite parts were the first three decades and the pictures at the end. Started with great history and description, but became to name dropey. Could have been written in 200 pages. Did get the chills many times and talked about Willie with others. Would not recommend. 2.5/5 Maren- Like read memoirs. Grew up on Willie, but like him less now after this read. Way to long. Should have been a biography instead of autobiography. 2.5-3/5 Ali- Overall too long. Didn’t realize how long it took him to become famous. Liked that he spoke well of all his wives. Found myself talking with others about the book. Happy to be done. 2.5/5 Meriah- Really liked. New a lot of the people talked about in the book. Was a little to name dropey. Would recommend. 3/5
Favorite Characters: Julie- Martha (first wife) Tristana- Waylan Jennings Jocelyn- Mark Rothbaun ( producer) Ali- Martha Maren- Martha Meriah- Willie

Missin You by Ali Scontrino

Missin you
The mornings still feel empty; in the evenings I still feel blue. There's not a day that goes by that I don't stop missin you.

Time seems to move slowly; yet everything is going so fast. It's hard to imagine that now your only in my past.

Sometimes it's like yesterday and sometimes it's so far away. My missin you never stops it's like an open hole me everyday. There seems to be so much time that goes by without you seeing me. The days don't stop me from my missin you. Oh how I wish that you could see.

Time seems to move slowly; yet everything is going so fast. It's hard to imagine that now your only in my past.

There's the really long days that make me ache for you. Then there's the fast days that I feel I was missin you. Like it went so fast I might have forgotten to see you. But never ever have I stopped my missin you.

I wish you could see us now; all the love you have created. As siblings growing up this picture we would've hated. But it's sure is hell knowing how much we all are missin you. It's hard as hell growing old without you.

Walking through a fog sometimes I get a glimpse of you. The sunshine breaking through to show me I am strong. The Rock in the land that keeps me holding on.

Time seems to move slowly while I'm missin you. The world moves so fast as I keep trudging through. You showed me the way so I'd make it without you but you never showed me how deal with my missin you.
