Next book club is June 28th - Hosted by Meriah at Ali’s house Book is Nyctophobia by Christopher Fowlers 320 pgs Next book pick is Jocelyn’s. Next club date proposed is July 19th Book Pick Order – Meriah, Jocelyn, Ali, Tristana, Maren, Julie
Duties : Meriah- Main, Jocelyn- Drinks, Ali- Salad, Tristana- Side, Maren- Dessert, Julie- Glasses/Appetizer Dinner: Tortilla Casserole, Mexican Corn, Salad w/ Chipotle Ranch, Chips, Guacamole, Salsa and Coconut Pound Cake w/ Chocolate Churro Ice Cream and Beer. Dang……YUM!!!
Announcements: Alyssa’s B-Day party was Awesome!!! Tristana went to Punk Rock Bowling and had an amazing time. Ali got book club tattoo. Looks Fantastic!! Drawing is available for us all. Decided to make new page limit 400pgs, unless approved for more. Updated our personal info forms again. Decided to put hold on beer steins, will move to wish list. Everyone still wants stickers. Meriah will research. Talked about moving Book Club start time to 5:00(because of summer work times). Is this happening next club??? Tristana still owes $30.00 to Julie for replacement glass.
Discussion: Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (Julie’s pick) Maren didn’t finish Ali: Enjoyed book overall. Loved the gossipy interactions and inspector interviews mixed in throughout the book 4/5 Julie: Loved it! Related to the crazy parent school scene. Also related to the Jane/Ziggy dynamic. Was nervous we wouldn’t like it. 4.5/5 Jocelyn :Pleasantly surprised. Found many moments of laughs. Truly related to the Madeline/Ed marriage…that’s Mike and Joe. 3.5/5 Meriah: Enjoyed! Had to stay up to find out what happened. 4/5 Tristana: Liked book 4/5 Maren: Liked what she did read….4.5/5
