Discussion: Ali- I learned a lot, looking things up as I read. Interesting to learn about white discrimination. The ending was okay, but sad. I cried. Would Recommend. 5/5 Julie- Super excited you chose this, my favorite author. A little hard to read because so close to my personal life. Really identified with this struggle. I kept questioning the title, but realized people blew in from all directions. Would recommend. 4/5 Jocelyn- Overall I loved it! Love this author and her writing style. One of my favorite time periods to learn about, such a time of survival, hope and love. Predictable at parts, but a great read. Would recommend. 4/5 Caitlin- Liked it for the most part. Hated that the focus on live was only at the end, ruined it. Did love learning about farming.
