Felt like it lacked depth. Three underdeveloped stories. Kept my attention, but meh. Would recommend to certain people. 2.5/5 Ali- At first didn’t like, but easy read. I had to know so that kept me reading. Liked the multiple stories. Writing style rudimentary. Abrupt ending. Would recommend to certain people. 3.5/5 Jocelyn- The book was okay. Entertaining overall, but still lacking. Didn’t love the writing style. Predictable. Did like that Solace reminded me of Boulder Creek. Would not recommend. 3/5 Favorite Characters: Caitlin- Mr. Barnes Karl Julie- No one Ali- Clara and Moses Jocelyn- Moses “Maybe it’s a matter of tenses. Of grammar. August 29, 2021 Meeting Minutes: The Sanatorium (Jocelyn’s Pick)

Discussion: Jocelyn- I didn’t really like the book. Didn’t like the writing style or the characters. Too many mysteries thrown out right at the beginning that got annoying, and the main character sucked. Would not recommend. 2.5/5 Ali- Thought I was half right about the killer, but no. Family drama was dumb. Hated the main character. Do like thrillers and this was a good vacation read. Would recommend to certain people. 3/5 Julie- Cheesy writing style. It was like the Shinning and Clue mixed. So much potential but fell short. Junk food read. Would recommend to certain people. 3/5 Caitlin- It was meh.
