Opinions: Ali - (from what she read) Related with Rachael. Never thought it was going to be Tom. 4/5 Meriah- Liked, but not totally hooked. 3.5/5 Tristana- Loved the book. The person hosting needs to notify the club of their main by Wed., so we can make our items based on this.

Everyone read it!!
Opinions:
Maren- Liked the book overall. Enjoyed the ending although found it unrealistic. 4/5
Julie- Liked the happy ending because Leah needed a mom. There were a few cheesy parts throughout the book though. 4/5
Ali- Liked the book a lot, felt like the ending was rushed a bit. 5/5
Tristana- Loved the book and likes the possibility of a sequel. 4.5/ 5
Joe- Liked the book overall, but felt torn about the ending. Do they all have to happy endings? 4/5
Meriah- Liked the book and could go either way with the ending, good or bad. 4/5

Discussion: Burning Room by Michael Connelly (Jocelyn’s pick)
**Had to do a limited recap for- Tristana, Julie, Maren.
Opinions: Ali- Ok book overall. Long winded at times. Didn’t like the ending. 3/5
Meriah- Hard to stick with at times. Loved the relationship between Bosh and his daughter. Got bored, okay overall though. 3/5 Jocelyn- Very disappointed on my wasted book pick. Junk food that was boring. Not very challenging. 2/5

Book is Burning Room by Michael Connelly. Next book club is Feb. 1, 2015. Ali’s pick.

-Everyone finishes 6 of the 12 books, whether they like it or not
-Julie gets to host 2 book clubs at her house this calendar year -
-Take a picture every book club meeting. At the beginning of the meeting - Ali is in charge of this.
Announcements: Ali’s birthday event is Jan 17, 2015 – Woodstock pizza and bowling. Save the date

Opinions:
Maren- Didn’t really like over all. Not a believable story. 3/5
Ali- Liked the book a lot. Loved the two stories told at the same time. Found Clara’s story more intriguing. Cried three times. 4/5
Julie- Didn’t like authors writing. Seemed like a young author. To wordy. Lots of potential though.
3/5 Jocelyn- Enjoyed overall. Definitely found Clara’s story more interesting. Loved the historical parts.
4/5 Meriah- Read quickly. Found Clara’s story fascinating. 4/5
