Next book club is Sept. 20th Tristana’s house.

Book is Fight club by Chuck Palahniuk 224pgs.

Next book pick is Maren’s, possibly Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee 288pgs or Bastards by Mary Anna King 256 pgs.

Next proposed date Oct.24, ANNIVERSARY NIGHT!!!! (Maren might have a brand new baby with us) 

Dinner: Beer cheese dip w/pretzels, Bacon Brie Fig Panini’s, stuffed Jalapeno’s, Coffee Cake with Orange Marmalade and Kailua Crunch Ice Cream, and more I don’t remember….Lol

Announcements: Ali –-No news. House party was great!! Tristana – Boyfriend is off house arrest. Maren – No news Julie – Had a physic cleanse the new house. Feeling really good now. Damsel in Defense date change to Oct.??? Jocelyn – High School Football is Coming……… Meriah – 19 years Happily Married!!!

Other Items: Have not looked into stickers yet.

Proposed the Year of the Hat in 2016, Tristana will go through the hat and eliminate books over 400pgs.

Bring extra $$$ for the Maren’s due date baby pool. Its $1 a square and all $$ goes to Maren.  It’s our Anniversary soon!!!!

Ideas: Pottery or Comedy night. Possibly stay local for baby….. Keep thinking! Bring ideas to next club.

Discussion: A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini (Ali’s pick) Everyone Finished!!!!

Ali – Really liked. A page turner. Very intense, raw craziness. Feel very educated. Cried a few times. 4/5 Meriah – Liked overall. Really depressing, almost didn’t want to finish, but proud I did. 3.5/5 Julie – Liked, but thought Kite Runner was better. A page turner. 3/5 Jocelyn – Liked. Very depressing! Enjoyed learning the political aspects of the time. 3/5 Maren- Liked better then Kite Runner. Very depressing, but enjoyed the timeline. 3/5 Tristana – Liked. Hated the names and politics. Felt that some scenes were ended abruptly. 4/5
