September 20, 2015 Book Club Notes

Next book club is Nov. 1st meet at Bocci Cellar (orchestrate rides accordingly) 3:30pm

Book is Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee 288pgs.

Next book pick is Julie Scorching Wind by Walter Macken 308pgs.

Watch Peaky Blinders (use subtitles) and The Wind That Shakes the Barley

Book Pick Order: Julie, Meriah, Jocelyn, Ali, Tristana, Maren.


Duties: No Duties. Anniversary Night!!!!!!

Dinner: Ranch style pork chops, Potatoes, Beet beautiful salad, Carmel apple bites and wine

Announcements: Ali – Getting a new dog this month (now known as Drama).

Maren – Getting divorced in 2015, getting married in 2015. Julie – No news Meriah – Battling with old landlord over floors. Jocelyn – SLV football is in full swing Tristana – No more boyfriend. Just boy surfing.

Other Items: Filled out Maren’s baby pool. $50 to Maren. Price is Right Square goes to whoever doesn’t go over time. Filled out personal questionnaires.

Anniversary talk…. $100 each. Julie looking into Shaminad.

Year of the Hat – Ali is dropping the hat with Tristana who will go through and discard books with 400pgs.

Discussion: Fight Club (Tristana’s pick)

Maren didn’t read.

Meriah – Liked the book. No run on descriptions, wham bam thank you mam. Hard not to think of the movie. 3.5/5 Jocelyn – Hated the book. Very hard to connect with. Movie affected the read for me. Authors afterward was favorite part. 2/5 Ali – Enjoyed book. Forgot a lot of the movie and the book cleared up some of the confusing parts. 3/5 Tristana – Liked book. Only saw the movie once, so was not affected by that. Easy read. 3.5/5 Julie – Hated the book. Disappointed. Boring and awful. To cut and dry. 1.5/5
