The Life We Bury by Allen Eskens (Jocelyn’s Pick)

Discussion:
Jocelyn- Went into it expecting more, but enjoyed it overall. Half way through had to know what was going to happen and see if my predictions were correct. Loved the survival scene and liked the feel good ending. Would recommend. 3/5 Meriah- Liked it. Took a little while to get into, but ended up a good read. Put together well. Would recommend. 3.5/5 Ali- Liked it! Excited about the mystery. Liked being fumbled to the end. Have already recommended. 4/5 Julie- Liked it. Kept me entertained. Some parts seemed unbelievable. Good debut novel. Already have recommended. 3/5 Maren- Liked it. It was a fast fun read. Felt like the Lila romance was unbelievable. 3/5

Dinner: Cheese, Topanod platter, Chipotle turkey avo bacon sliders, green salad, coleslaw, spicy nut noodle, an amazing SCM cherry pie, moscow mules, beer, and wine.

Announcements: Jocelyn- Made it through the summer plays. Sotero finally graduated. Got a new kitten named Laszlo or “Mr. Man”. Put the chainsaw down, got a new job. Have to get a new car. July 31st was our 16 year wedding anniversary.
Meriah- Aug 26th is our 20 year wedding anniversary. My birthday coming up in Sept. Shannon wrecked and he got a 2015 Toyota Sion. Ali- We are selling the Festiva. Jakes birthday bbq on Sept 3rd 3-?? Engagement party on september 17th Julie- Sweet Sam passed, Here’s to Sam!! Love to Vicki. Going to Portland then school starts. Maren- Kids birthday madness is about to begin. Taking them all to Disneyland. Yahoo!!
Old Business: Still want tank tops!!
