Circling the Sun (Meriah’s Pick)
Discussion:
Meriah- This was a last-minute pick, really liked it. Outside my comfort zone, not being my typical pick. Liked the main character’s sense of freedom. Would recommend to certain to people. 3.5/5
Ali- I didn’t like this book. I could fold and do my laundry with this in the background on my TV. I just didn’t like the main character, she was a hollow soul. Would not recommend. 3/5
Jocelyn- Historical Fiction is my favorite! Loved learning about Africa. I loved that Beryl stood up to society’s staunch ways. She was a true free spirit. Would recommend to certain people. 4/5
Maren- Liked in the beginning, but then it got slow. Wondered the whole time why none of the guys mentioned her scars. I thought it would end different. Interesting that everyone was poor, but still had servants. Would not recommend. 3.5/5
Julie- Hated it! This book could not keep my attention. I kept waiting for Deny’s to come out. Hated the deformed baby. Would not recommend. 2/5

Announcements: Ali- Going to Tennesse & has a new boyfriend. Julie- Mason’s Birthday Party on May 7th 1:00 @ Hylands. I’m engaged. Wedding date August 5, 2018. Selling the house this summer. Baby Brunch this Saturday @ East End Eatery 11:00. We are registered at Baby’s R Us and Amazon. Meriah- Alyssa is turning 10. Bought a new car. Shannon turning 45. Going to Disneyland on June 23rd. Had a great Easter Party. Maren- Wants to be 40 and pregnant. Jocelyn- Mike and Cypress went to Comicon and had a blast. Cypress ramping up for Terrain racing. In the process of kicking Sotero out.
