August 27,2017 Book Club Notes


Crimes Against a Book Club (Julie’s Pick)
Discussion: Julie- Pleasantly surprised. Light and funny. LOL a lot. Would recommend. 4/5
Meriah- Laughed at the title, thinking it was going to be a joke. Ended up loving it. Would recommend. 3.5-4/5
Jocelyn- A great refreshing junk food novel. I related with Anne about her mother and brother. Loved the overall happy endings. Loved all the books referenced throughout. Already have recommended. 3.5/5
Maren- Liked it a lot. A fun easy read. Related with Sarah trying to get pregnant. Would recommend. 4/5
Ali- Thoroughly enjoyed. Liked the beginning of each chapter mentioning other books. Liked the plot, such a clever idea. Would recommend. 4/5
Favorite Characters:
Julie- Kim and Chloe
Meriah- Sarah
Jocelyn- Sarah and Chloe
Maren- Chloe and Espie
Ali- Kim and Chloe

Annie didn’t half ass friendship, she used her whole ass.

We can sag and wrinkle without losing our essential beauty. We have to redefine what beauty means to us. We have to choose to love who we are and what we are becoming.

Meriah- 21st Anniversary, Granddaughter starting Kindergarten.
Ali- None – Nothing positive.
Julie- Housing BS is working out. Next club will be in new house.
Jocelyn- Vacation was great. Cypress starts 8th grade. Mike back to work.
Maren- Lana started Kindergarten.
