So this one was a bit hard for me, but as Adam (Julie's Husband) said "you need to detatch yourself. I am glad I read it and I'm glad that in the face of such horrible events someone grew so strong.
Can you believe what a monster that man was????? What a monster that family was??? The thing I am confused about that maybe you ladies can enlighten me on; is When Ramona said (right before her incident with Tess) "you don't understand, you don't know what you are doing." Now they never embelished on that. They showed that there were roles in the conspiracy but never why they were going to such lengths to cover the murders and rapes. It was like they were going to tell us about a mental disorder the Little Driver had or something. What do you think?
I haven't finished it yet but I took Ramona's comment to foreshadow that something was fishy. I think Ramona knew about Little Driver's "disguise", and knew Tess wouldn't discover this fact until it was too late.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh.... I didn't think about it like that. That makes sense that she knew it was the other one yet the story unfolds so I can't comment further. Yay isn't this awesome. Everyone can do it now except Meriah. But once she finishes 1922 she will be getting on here with us.

ReplyDeleteYou know what...I've been stewing over this one for a few days now and I'm really dissapointed on how Tess handled things. Here is this horrible man who tortured countless women (and a possible child...don't even get me started on that one) and then she just simply put a bullet in his head. No pain, no torture, no groveling, just lights out. I think she should have tied him up and made him beg before she offed him. Ya, ya I know she just wanted him to go away so he wouldn't hurt anyone else, but seriously I think he derserved a more painful death!!!
