Discussion: Jocelyn- I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. The setting was too similar to our last book. It was meant to be a junk food thriller and in the end it was. It still gave me the feeling of “I have to know.” I might recommend. 2.5/5 Julie- I couldn’t stand the writing style. So dumb, another dud. I was just trying to get through it. Hell no I would never recommend. 1/5 Caitlin- Don’t have much to say. Hard to follow. The whole book was a downer. Would not recommend. 2/5 Ali- Decently written thriller. Kept me wanting to know. Would not recommend. 3/5 Jocelyn- I loved it! I went into it thinking it was going ot be a silly young adult novel and that is exactly what it was. It was somewhat predictable, and I hated half the characters, but couldn’t put it down. Would not recommend. 4/5 Julie- Lots of hype about this book. Loved that the authors mom inspired the book. Hated all the husbands! I really liked it. Nice fun easy read. I was interested the entire time. Would recommend. 4/5 Caitlin- I liked the book. It was a fun read. Found lots of flaws within the story. Somewhat predictable. Would recommend. 4/5 Ali- Thought it was a female author the whole time. I liked it overall. Pretty fun read. November 29, 2020 The Dutch House (Jocelyn’s Pick)

Discussion: Jocelyn- This story was just eh. Did not like that in the middle of the book the author started jumping time periods. Made it very confusing. The whole book was about the past controlling the present. Would not recommend. 2.5/5 Caitlin- Did not enjoy the read. Drawled on and on. Kept waiting for something to happen. Would recommend to certain people. 3.5/5 Julie- Felt like the author was male. Ugh! BORING. Kept waiting for something to happen. Mad at this book, nothing connected. Would not recommend. 2.5/5 Maren- Did not read Favorite Characters: Jocelyn- Jocelyn Caitlin- Mauve and May Julie- Sandy and Jocelyn Ali- May and Jocelyn “Do you think it’s possible to ever see the past as it actually was?” “But we overlay the present onto the past.
